Our client is a high-profile trans-Tasman ASX/NZX listed business with revenue exceeding $1 billion, operating as a multi-site market leader. The company is based in Auckland and is seeking a talented senior finance executive to lead their group control team.

Job Description

The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for leading a team of around 30 individuals in a decentralized finance model. This role will involve supporting the CFO in transforming the finance function, ensuring operational excellence in systems, processes, and people management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage group and corporate financial and tax compliance
• Oversee financial reporting, risk, and compliance requirements
• Handle capital spend processes and control
• Ensure all obligations for group reporting and business investment decisions are met

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior financial role within an NZX/ASX listed organization
• Strong technical accounting capabilities in a regulated environment
• Ability to lead and develop talent, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement
• Deep technical financial experience with expertise in accounting standards

Contract Details

This position is initially a one-year contract with the potential for further extension based on performance and outcomes. The role offers a unique opportunity to work in a challenging and dynamic listed company environment.
