Job Opportunity: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

NZ Panels Group is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who possesses strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in building products manufacturing and distribution. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, offering strategic financial advice and serving as a key contact point for the board and the private equity owners, Crescent Capital Partners.

Responsibilities of the CFO:

• Providing senior leadership for the business and the finance team
• Engaging in strategic and commercial planning
• Managing and communicating with key stakeholders
• Overseeing financial management and control
• Collaborating on key projects, particularly with the GM supply chain and technology
• Leading health and safety initiatives

Ideal Candidate Qualifications and Attributes:

• Hold a tertiary qualification in finance or commerce and be a qualified accountant (CA)
• Have 10-15 years of experience in senior finance roles
• Possess experience in manufacturing and/or distribution, supply chain strategies, and inventory management
• Demonstrate proficiency in enhancing systems and providing business intelligence for informed decision-making
• Exhibit strong communication skills and commercial savvy to engage with various stakeholders
• Show confidence in challenging decisions and seeking clarity
• Display curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to align with key decision-makers
• Think strategically, proactively, and understand commercial drivers and best practices
• Be an effective delegator, utilizing team talents and supporting career development
• Be a team player willing to engage closely with operational details
