Head Coach - Ford Football Ferns Full-time Job

Lead the Ferns during qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup Oversee and lead the ultimate success of the Ford Football Ferns program Role Summary The Ford Football Ferns Head Coach is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, management, and ultimate success of the Ford Football Ferns program. You will ensure technical alignment within the elite player pathway, ensuring player depth is built to sustain the Ford Football Ferns program into the future. Oversees coaching, training, competition programs, technical and tactical strategies, strategic direction, selection, and maintains a player depth chart for the team. Develops a team culture that is performance-focused, supportive, professional, and represents New Zealand's identity.

Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role: - International Head Coach experience at FIFA and/or Olympic events is preferable. - Knowledge/understanding of international coaching and player development trends. - Experience in the use of technical analysis for team strategy and improving performance. - Strong time management and organization skills. - Ability to communicate strategies, inspire, and ensure 'buy-in' from stakeholders. - Ability to promote the brand and profile of football in New Zealand. - Knowledge of NZ Football and the Ford Football Ferns environment. - Minimum Confederation A Coaching License or equivalent is essential.
