### Role Summary: As a pivotal leadership role reporting to the Director Destination at Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, you will be instrumental in implementing Auckland's Major Events Strategy. Your primary focus will be to drive economic benefits, increase media exposure, and elevate Auckland's brand through a world-class events portfolio. Leading a high-performing team, you will collaborate with the major events sector and public entities to grow Auckland's visitor economy and position the city as a desirable place to live and visit.

### About You: To excel in this role, you should possess strong coordination skills to manage a comprehensive Major Events program successfully. Building robust internal and external relationships, delivering detailed reports on outcomes, and showcasing a genuine passion for championing major events in Auckland are key attributes. Your experience in managing large-scale events, stakeholder engagement, governance, partnerships, and community involvement will be crucial. Moreover, your commercial acumen, negotiation prowess, and proven track record in leading high-performing teams will be valuable assets.
