Role Overview

As an HR Advisor at Menzies Aviation (NZ), you will have a pivotal role in providing comprehensive HR support to our organization. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. You will serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management, offering guidance on various HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the recruitment process, including job posting, phone screening candidates, and organizing interviews.
  • Coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding processes for a seamless transition.
  • Handling employee relations issues such as performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Administering HR-related documentation and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Staying informed about changes in employment legislation to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for the HR Advisor position should possess:

  • 2+ years of experience as an HR Advisor
  • Proven track record in an HR advisory role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a proactive approach
