Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Full-time Job

Job responsibilities:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for various projects
• Developing and maintaining project cost control systems
• Working closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders for timely and budget-conscious project completion
• Conducting financial reporting and cost analysis
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
• Managing procurement, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors
• Overseeing tender documentation, health and safety compliance, and project variations
• Handling claims and variations to protect the company’s commercial interests

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the New Zealand construction market
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, and financial project control
• Experience in large-scale refurbishments highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software
• Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving
