Tax Professionals, an established suburban practice, is seeking an experienced Junior Taxation Accountant to join their team. This client-focused role involves working directly with the Partners in a supportive team environment. Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements, taxation returns, GST returns, and payroll filing
• Financial investigations, report preparation, and audits
• Liaising with Inland Revenue on clients' tax affairs
• Providing financial and taxation advice
• Assurance of information accuracy in financial reports
• Client relationship management

Requirements

• At least 1 year of NZ-specific accounting practice experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification
• Strong technical taxation knowledge
• Proficiency in computer-based accounting systems like Xero and MYOB
• High accuracy, customer service orientation, and excellent communication skills

Job Details

This is a full-time role requiring a minimum of 35 hours per week, with a salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 depending on experience. The position is based in Epsom, Auckland.
