About the Position

Te Wānanga o Aotearoa (TWoA) is looking for a dedicated Kaiako (tutor) to lead and inspire tauira (students) in advancing their Māori performing arts skills. This role involves developing lesson plans, presenting material, responding to student needs, and evaluating progress. The position is full-time, permanent, based in Māngere, with opportunities for remote work.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Māori Art or similar, focused on Māori Performing Arts, along with a NZ Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching Level 5 or equivalent. Experience in adult teaching and a full NZ Driver License are preferred. While teaching experience is valued, TWoA also welcomes newly qualified Kaiako with relevant qualifications and a willingness to learn.
