About the Role

We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Kaitiaki - Home Based Learning. This position is based in Waitakere, Auckland and offers flexibility in terms of full-time, part-time, or casual hours. As a Kaitiaki, you will be responsible for providing assessment services and program support for our tauira in our Home-Based Learning Programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and conduct whanaungatanga visits for new cohorts of tauira
  • Confirm enrollment, document program inductions, and record relevant details
  • Apply best practices in assessment principles and communicate results
  • Develop tailored support strategies for individual tauira
  • Track and report on tauira progress

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable individual who is passionate about education. You should have strong communication skills, the ability to build positive relationships, and embrace cultural diversity. Desired qualifications include NZQA Standards, a Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching Level 4, and experience in education or mentoring. A willingness to engage in cultural activities and understand Āhuatanga Māori is also desirable.
