About the Role

Techtorium NZIIT is looking for a dynamic Lead Software Trainer to join their team in Auckland. The Lead Software Trainer will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional learning experience to students pursuing Computer Engineering and Software Development Diplomas. Working closely with the Academic Team and reporting to the CEO, the Lead Software Trainer will ensure that training is in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires a candidate who is passionate about education, technology, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course material for NZ Diploma programmes
  • Supervise and engage in teaching, collaborating with the training team
  • Ensure training meets NZQA and Toi Mai compliance standards
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and student retention
  • Facilitate ongoing learning opportunities for training staff

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for the Lead Software Trainer position should possess:

  • 7 to 10 years of experience as a software trainer in the education sector
  • Master’s or PhD degree in software engineering
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, C#, Python, and Java
  • Experience in mobile app development and full-stack web development
  • Knowledge of source and version control systems like Git and GitHub
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and AI model training
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
