About the Role

Higher Ground is currently looking for a Locum Counsellor to work with individuals striving to overcome addiction. The role involves collaborating with the Residential Team to enhance social and psychological well-being and maintain abstinence from substances.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will be passionate, have a positive attitude, be flexible, and work well in a team. Understanding of 12 Step facilitation and evidence-based therapies is crucial. Experience with clients dealing with severe addiction and group or family counseling is preferred.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a Level 7 qualification in a relevant field or be in the final year of studies in a related discipline. A current practicing certificate with a professional body is necessary. Candidates with a personal history of substance dependence must have at least two years of abstinence.
