Join the New Zealand Comedy Trust Team as a Marketing and Partnerships Lead

The New Zealand Comedy Trust is on the lookout for a passionate and hands-on Marketing and Partnerships Lead to become a vital part of their team and help bring the NZ International Comedy Festival to life in 2025. If you are a dynamic individual with a knack for marketing, sponsorship, and communications, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities of the Role

As the Marketing and Partnerships Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing the marketing, sponsorship, and communications aspects of the Festival. Your main focus will be on showcasing the New Zealand Comedy Trust and NZ International Comedy Festival brand through innovative design, effective marketing strategies, and engaging publicity.

You will need to have strong copywriting skills, a keen eye for design, and expertise in digital marketing to drive successful campaigns. Your ability to create compelling and timely content within budget constraints will be crucial in this role.

Qualifications and Skills

While experience in media, arts, or events marketing is highly desirable, a passion for comedy and the willingness to learn are equally important. Knowledge of Te Ao Māori would be advantageous but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of industry experience in marketing and/or sponsorship.

Benefits of the Position

Working as the Marketing and Partnerships Lead will not only give you the opportunity to showcase your creativity and strategic thinking but also allow you to be part of a vibrant and dynamic team. You will have the chance to lead and motivate your own team, contribute to management decisions, and foster relationships with sponsors to support year-round activities.

How to Apply

If this sounds like the perfect role for you, don't hesitate to send your resume and cover letter to kerstie@comedyfestival.co.nz before the application deadline on the 26th of July 2024 at 6 pm. The position is based in Auckland CBD and can be either a permanent role or a fixed-term contract.
