Job Description

We are looking for an individual with a proven understanding and ability to work effectively with men facing high complex needs and issues related to family violence, care and protection, parenting, and addiction. This role involves engaging men one-on-one to address these areas while collaborating with other services to support their families towards positive outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Good understanding of issues for men within family relationships
• Experience in developing and maintaining therapeutic yet practical programs
• Knowledge of frameworks related to domestic violence, parenting, drug and alcohol, and care and protection
• Previous experience working with Maori and Pacific Island men in a social service agency
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills
• Flexible attitude and a 'can do' approach
• High level of self-awareness
• Strong communication (oral, written, and listening) and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate computer skills
