About the Role

As a Community Support Worker within our mental health team, you will play a crucial role in working with individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental distress. This full-time position based in Auckland offers a meaningful opportunity to engage with the community and support individuals in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

- Developing recovery-focused plans - Promoting independence and choice - Emphasizing person-centered care - Aligning with community development principles - Facilitating ongoing recovery with a family systems approach

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess: - Knowledge of Pacific cultures - Qualifications in mental health and addictions - Ability to work with vulnerable populations - Proficiency in the Microsoft suite - Strong communication skills in English and Pacific languages - Experience in a Pacific community setting - Understanding of mental health and addiction issues - Strong stakeholder management skills - Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a clean police record
