Role Overview

As a Peer Support Specialist, you will work alongside clinical staff to provide personalized support to individuals seeking wellness. Your lived experience of mental distress will be a valuable asset in this role, as you collaborate with others facing similar challenges in a unique and impactful way.

Skills and Experience Required

To excel in this role, you must: - Have personal lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery - Demonstrate resilience and the ability to use your recovery skills effectively - Be trained in Intentional Peer Support or willing to undergo training - Possess knowledge of mental health challenges and distress - Uphold the principles of recovery - Have strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications - Hold a clean NZ driver’s license - Exhibit cultural competence and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
