Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Positions in Computer Science & Software Engineering

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is seeking two dedicated individuals for full-time, permanent Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions in the Department of Computer Science & Software Engineering within the School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality research outputs
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
• Lead the development of academic programs
• Mentor junior faculty
• Enhance academic standards of sessional staff
• Participate in departmental leadership activities
• Engage in significant research endeavors

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Research excellence in mobile systems, applications development, distributed and parallel computing, and networks and cybersecurity
• Strong background in both research and teaching
• Experience in academia and industry
• Proficiency in programming languages and technologies

The ideal candidates will uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and contribute to the educational excellence and innovation at AUT. Short-term teaching assignments at international partner institutions may also be available.

Start Date:

01 July 2024

Salary Range:

$85,000 - $101,000 (commensurate with skills and experience)
