Are you passionate about supporting rangatahi and building relationships within communities? If so, consider joining our Rangatira mō Āpōpō team at E Tipu e Rea Whānau Services as a Pou Tūhono based in Mauinaina (Panmure), Auckland.

Responsibilities of a Pou Tūhono:

• Support hapū māmā and mātua taiohi in setting and achieving work-ready goals, accessing training, and finding employment.
• Provide wrap-around support to address challenges that may hinder participation in training or employment, such as housing, transportation, and mental health.
• Conduct wānanga/workshops to enhance the skills of hapū māmā and mātua taiohi.
• Create a safe environment for reconnecting with māoritanga, hapū, iwi, and whakapapa.
• Establish strong relationships with local businesses, Māori organizations, and community networks to support the goals of hapū māmā and mātua taiohi.

Experience and Requirements:

Preference will be given to candidates with a background in the health or social service sector. A full driver’s license is a must for this role.

E Tipu e Rea Whānau Services is a Kaupapa Māori organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support to rangatahi, focusing on those aged 14-26 who are hapū or already have children. Our mission is to empower mātua taiohi and pēpi to thrive within their communities.

We have a special partnership with Ngāti Paoa Iwi Trust (NPIT) and hold their health and social service accreditation. Our work extends across various Auckland locations, including Panmure, Sylvia Park, Glen Innes, Devonport, and more.
