Job responsibilities:
- Coach, develop, mentor, and supervise social work staff - Ensure practice expectations and standards are maintained - Provide support to supervisors and teams for implementing practice models - Champion social work practice across the site
Qualifications:
- Experienced Social Worker in a similar role in NGO sector or within Oranga Tamariki - Desirable experience in Care and Protection and Youth Justice
Skills:
- Sound judgment, time management, and organizational skills - Ability to manage risk and make tough decisions - Empathy, patience, and ability to see past struggles - Understanding of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' culture
