About the Role
Join a great Strategy & Design team and help shape the strategic direction and priorities of the FMA as a Principal Adviser, Strategy. This role offers significant development opportunities, including exposure to the Board and Senior Leadership, and a chance to influence outcome-focused regulation. It is a 12-month fixed-term contract that will allow you to provide thought leadership, support strategic focus, and contribute to enterprise strategy and regulatory approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership across the FMA and regulatory system - Support the FMA's transition to being an outcomes-focused regulator - Assist in the development and delivery of FMA's Quarterly Board Reporting, External Risk Framework, and Financial Conduct Report - Collaborate across enterprise groups to align activities with strategic direction - Support capability development within the team
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking candidates with expertise in the following areas: - Experience in designing and prioritizing significant programs impacting organizational strategy - Proficiency in strategy setting processes, tools, and techniques - Demonstrated ability to influence others and build relationships at all levels of an organization - Working knowledge or experience in the financial sector and practice of conduct regulation - Financial services background or regulatory experience is desirable
