Role Overview

As the Procurement Best Practice & Commercial Lead, you will report to the National Procurement Manager and play a crucial role in developing and implementing best practices and modern procurement processes for DOC. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing an excellence program for aligning processes, systems, and tools - Providing key procurement data analysis and insights - Leading training programs for staff - Ensuring procurement systems are well-aligned and up-to-date - Keeping abreast of industry procurement developments and conveying relevant information across the organization

Skills and Qualifications

If you have the following attributes, DOC would like to hear from you: - Minimum of 5 years' project management experience - Strong knowledge of NZ Government Rules of Procurement - Experience in developing procurement systems and processes - Coaching and mentoring skills - Ability to collaborate effectively across functions - Analytical skills to draw insights from data - Understanding of the Māori Crown relationship - Degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, or related field
