Overview

Our client in Auckland is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to provide commercial procurement support for a major technology change program. This is a 6-month contract role that involves leading end-to-end procurement processes within the Finance and Procurement departments.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with delivery teams to identify, prioritize, and plan commercial engagements - Assign appropriate contract types based on engagement size, complexity, and risk - Assist project teams in defining requirements, scope, and contractual considerations - Draft Statements of Work (SOWs) and other contracts following procurement and legal standards - Manage technology and services contracts including renewals and negotiations

Key Skills Required

- Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement Specialist or Management role - Experience in technology-based categories - Strong communication skills for explaining complex commercial and contractual concepts - Proven ability in interpersonal skills, conflict management, and negotiation - Capable of fostering good relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
