The Opportunity: Programme Manager in Pacific Health

Te Whatu Ora's Pacific Health Group is looking for a Programme Manager to join the Office of the National Director. The key focus of this role is to provide expertise in programme management and workstream coordination for Pacific Health projects. The successful candidate will play a vital role in engaging with Pacific Health stakeholders at various levels to ensure successful project delivery, outcomes achievement, and risk management.

About You: Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Professional project or programme management qualification
  • Experience in successfully delivering projects, preferably in a health context
  • Experience in working collaboratively in a multi-project environment
  • Understanding of the Pacific Health service operational model (an advantage)

You Will Bring: Commitment and Cultural Awareness

As a Programme Manager at Te Whatu Ora, you are expected to:

  • Be a good Te Tiriti partner and apply Te Tiriti principles in your role
  • Demonstrate competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori
  • Have some Pacific language skills and a deep understanding of Pacific customs and cultures
