Overview

A large scale dairy production facility in South Auckland is offering an exciting opportunity for a Project and Process Improvement Engineer. This newly created role involves working on a variety of capital projects within a modern, automated plant.

The Company

The company is a well-known dairy business with a state of the art manufacturing facility. They are currently experiencing growth and are looking to expand their team with this new role.

The Opportunity

As a Project and Process Improvement Engineer, you will be reporting to the CAPEX & Process Improvement Manager. Your responsibilities will include planning, executing, and completing capital improvement projects for the site. Collaboration with the site leadership team and other departments is essential to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements

  • Relevant engineering qualification
  • Several years of project engineering/management experience
  • Prior CAPEX planning and management experience
  • Proven record of meeting project deadlines and budgets
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPM, 6 Sigma, or similar
  • Experience in a dairy production environment
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Contractor management experience
  • ERP experience, ideally MEX and/or MS Dynamics Navision
