Quantity Surveyor - Civil Full-time Job

Key points:

- Civil Estimator position at Maxion Civil in West Auckland - Role involves estimating for Civil projects, managing contracts, and risk management - Requires strong knowledge of commercial contract law and construction techniques

Job requirements:

- NZ experienced Civil Estimator - Solid understanding of NZS3910:2013 and conditions of contract - Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively - Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage relationships with clients and stakeholders

Job responsibilities:

- Estimating for Civil projects including tendering, budgeting, and subcontractor requirements - Reviewing contract terms, negotiating with clients and subcontractors - Procurement of subcontractors and compiling subcontract agreements - Assessing payment claims, variations, and valuing variation claims - Monthly cost reporting, accurate cost forecasting, and client liaison

Qualifications:

- Must be legally entitled to work in NZ - Experience in tendering construction projects and preparation of quotations

Skills:

- Strong numeracy skills and ability to do basic trigonometry calculations - Knowledge of construction techniques and processes in New Zealand - Negotiation skills and ability to review and interpret contract requirements - Ability to identify, price variations, and maintain relationships with suppliers
