Role Overview

The Real Time Business Analyst position at Auckland Transport plays a pivotal role in improving customer experiences through real-time information. Responsibilities include validating data feeding the real-time system, identifying future investment opportunities in real-time infrastructure, and providing recommendations for the installation of live departure screens.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate test plans to enhance the accuracy and reliability of real-time information
• Recommend specifications for the installation of new live departure screens
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support the growth and development of real-time information
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for newly installed PIDs
• Develop test scripts and SQL queries on public transport data
• Specify and run reports on public transport prediction accuracy
• Work with the customer insights team to track customer satisfaction with real-time information

Desired Candidate Profile

• Tertiary qualification in Business/Social Science or IT
• 5-7 years' experience in a Business Analyst role
• Experience in Real Time system support in sectors like Public Transport, Airlines, Freight
• Knowledge of Real Time data capture, analytics, and reporting
