Job requirements
- More than 10 years' experience at a senior level managing large communications and/or engagement teams within large complex organisations, preferably in transport, infrastructure or safety fields
- Governance or steering group-level experience, and ideally, central government and political nous, is an advantage
- Proven relationship building experience eg leading, influencing and building credibility
Job responsibilities
- Manage the communications and engagement planning and delivery for transport infrastructure programmes
- Coach and mentor a strong and successful group of team leaders, principals and advisors
- Implement best practice and efficient engagement and communications approaches
Qualifications
- Demonstrate knowledge of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo Māori
- Knowledge of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector
Skills
- Strong expertise in developing and delivering iwi, stakeholder and community engagement
- Excellent risk management, writing, editing and presentation skills
