Job requirements:

Job responsibilities:
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for the benefit of rangatahi, staff, and the community - Supporting young offenders in their personal growth and rehabilitation - Coaching rangatahi through daily activities and life necessities - Participating in activities with young people - Establishing rapport with rangatahi who have experienced trauma
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Youth Worker preferred - Tertiary qualification and experience in working with tamariki and rangatahi in sport, health, and education advantageous
Skills:
- Empathy, patience, and resilience - Ability to work across various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays - Good level of physical fitness - Understanding and confidence in tikanga Māori and te reo Māori
