Key Points

- Part-time position (20 hours per week) as a Safeguarding Adults from Abuse (SAFA) Coordinator - Remote work with a caseload from anywhere in New Zealand - Fixed-term contract position with potential for renewal - Hourly rate between $31 and $36 - Requires valid New Zealand work status - Applications close on 20th March 2025

Job Requirements

- Background and understanding in working with vulnerable adults - Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks - Understanding of advocacy, human rights, and disability systems

Job Responsibilities

- Provide guidance and responses to SAFA enquiries - Establish and coordinate professional groups - Facilitate multi-agency responses - Provide education and training on Safeguarding principles

Qualifications

- Experience in advocacy or social work - Familiarity with disabilities, family violence, and human rights frameworks

Skills

- Strong communication and networking skills - Ability to work collaboratively and independently - Proficient with technology and report writing - Excellent time management and decision-making skills
