Job Description

Are you passionate about sailing and youth development? Bucklands Beach Yacht Club is looking for a dedicated Sailing Director to lead our top-tier Youth Training Programme using the Elliott 7 Fleet. This role involves coaching on water, program management, and organizing sailing events with our Elliott 7 Keelboats.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive performance sailing training program in line with BBYC's goals.
• Identify talented sailors from BBYC and the local community for the Youth Training Programme.
• Collaborate with Club Manager and Committee for coaching and administrative support.
• Manage financial and administrative aspects of the program, including budgeting.
• Ensure maintenance of on-water assets and oversee repairs.
• Implement Health & Safety procedures.
• Provide insight into equipment budgeting and maintenance needs.
• Manage current sponsors and seek new opportunities for sponsorship and funding.

Experience and Skills

• Proven coaching experience in sailboat racing.
• Background in sailboat racing, preferably keelboat racing.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Effective communication skills with various stakeholders.
• Proficient in boat management and maintenance.
