About the Company

Our client, a leading provider of electrical engineering solutions, specializes in high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) projects. They are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in high voltage systems to join their team in Auckland CBD.

Job Responsibilities

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Developing protection schemes, setting protection assets, and configuring relay systems for HV/MV distribution and transmission projects.
• Conducting power system analysis using tools such as DIgSILENT and Sincal.
• Leading technical discussions with clients to determine optimal solutions for their needs.
• Developing and reviewing protection standards/philosophies for clients and internal use.
• Motivating, mentoring, and training team members.
• Maintaining a strong technical knowledge of specifications, standards, and codes.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a Washington Accord-accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of post-graduate engineering experience in developing protection schemes, setting protection assets, and configuring relay systems.
• Experience in carrying out power system analysis using DIgSILENT and Sincal.
• CPEng accreditation, or on the path to achieving it.
• Strong analytical skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Passion for engineering and a commitment to excellence.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to cutting-edge projects in the electrical engineering field.
