Key points:

- Ministry of Social Development is seeking a Senior Information Coordinator for Historic Claims team - Position based in Auckland (Ellerslie) - Fixed Term OR Secondment until 09 January 2026 - Salary range: $89,622.00 - $108,622.00

Job requirements:

- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant work experience - Good knowledge of applicable legislation such as Official Information Act, Privacy Act, Oranga Tamariki Act 1989, and the Children’s and Young People’s Wellbeing Act 1989 - Competency working with MS Office Suite and records management systems - Relationship management ability - Able to prioritize work with attention to detail - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability to demonstrate empathy and understand client needs

Responsibilities:

- Releasing claimants’ personal information in compliance with relevant legislation - Supporting induction and training of new Information Coordination staff - Taking on project management roles - Reviewing and strengthening team capability - Providing client-focused, administrative, and corporate advice and services

Qualifications:

- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience - Good knowledge of applicable legislation - Competency in MS Office Suite and records management systems - Relationship management skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills
