This job opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Tax Consultant/Assistant Tax Manager seeking to advance their career in a generalist tax role with a focus on corporate, individual, and international tax matters. The position is based in Central Auckland and offers an attractive base salary, annual performance bonus, and benefits.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with the Partners on a variety of advisory and consulting projects, with the majority of compliance work handled by the BAS team. Your responsibilities will include conducting reviews, managing client relationships, and handling high-level technical tax projects for a diverse portfolio of clients, including New Zealand owned entities, High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), and cross-border tax clients. The role offers an equal split between advisory and tax compliance work.
Requirements
- Prior experience in tax compliance and advisory within a CA firm, preferably Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
- Strong communication, client management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in using Xero, APS, CCH, and/or TaxLab.
- Experience in corporate or deferred tax would be advantageous.
