Are you an enthusiastic and proactive Health Professional or postgraduate student with experience in Social work, Counseling, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Psychotherapy? This role offers a diverse range of tasks to support a client with her brain injury-related challenges. You will be responsible for assisting the client with daily activities in her own home, enabling her to live a fulfilling life despite her challenges. The client is active in her community and participates in various social activities, making this role dynamic and engaging.

Unique Opportunity

This position requires individuals who can provide 24-hour support and care to the client, without the need for extensive paperwork or report writing. The successful candidate will work alongside a supportive team and directly impact the client's quality of life.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a qualification in a health-related field or be a postgraduate student with relevant experience. Familiarity with TBIs and trauma/PTSD is essential, and community experience is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, a caring demeanor, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are crucial.

Key Requirements

  • Must be 25 years of age or above
  • Hold a full clean driver's license
  • Have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
  • A moderate level of fitness

Work Details

The role offers full-time, part-time, and fixed casual work opportunities with rates ranging from $44 - $66 per hour. Shifts are 12 hours long with a 1-hour handover, covering all days of the week. Flexibility in working weekends and public holidays is required, as well as the ability to work up to 3 shifts per week.
