Senior ICT Systems Engineer

Our client, a global leader in critical communication solutions, is looking for a Senior ICT Systems Engineer to join their team in Christchurch Central.

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and support hybrid systems on Linux, containerized technologies, and Windows servers.
• Work with network aspects on physical, virtualized Linux, and public cloud infrastructure.
• Utilize structured infrastructure-as-code practices and documentation for consistent system delivery and support.
• Participate in change management processes and peer reviews to meet critical communications demands.
• Assist in selecting and evaluating third-party solutions and technologies for system delivery.
• Develop expertise in technology environment for legacy system consolidation.

What You Bring:

• Experience in Legacy Unix, Linux, and Windows systems in hybrid environments.
• Networking experience with physical and virtual systems (Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Juniper).
• Knowledge of switching, routing technologies, advanced virtualization, and cloud computing.
• Experience with Layer 2/3 VPN solutions and security practices.
• Proficiency in virtualization platforms like KVM, VMWare, Hyper-V, and public cloud architecture (AWS, Azure).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Engineer or similar role.

Benefits:

$130,000 - $140,000 p.a. + Benefits
