Key Responsibilities and Requirements

Role Overview

As a leader at Te Whatu Ora, you will be responsible for managing a team of Internal Communication Advisors. Your role will involve developing and implementing effective internal communication strategies tailored to local requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in communication roles
  • Proven track record in managing communications and engagement teams
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing budgets and forecasting
  • Understanding of the public sector
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in presenting materials with impact

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Commitment to partnership under Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Competency in te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori, or willingness to learn
  • Passion for contributing to positive change in the health sector
