Lead a Team of System Design Project Managers in New Zealand

Are you ready to take on a new challenge and contribute to the success of high-profile projects across New Zealand? We are looking for a dynamic leader to join us in Wellington, with the option to work from Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, or Christchurch. As a System Design Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of talented Project Managers and drive initiatives that will enable us to deliver on Waka Kotahi infrastructure projects.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with Project Directors and Managers to provide coaching, support, and development opportunities to your team members. Your focus will be on implementing best practice project management processes and driving continuous improvements to ensure the successful delivery of projects. You will also be responsible for fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and promoting effective communication within the project management team.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A growth mindset and a commitment to developing your leadership skills
• 8+ years of experience in Project Management, preferably in complex business programs and civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Proven expertise in leading and influencing stakeholders and delivering effective project management communication
• Experience with project management systems such as PlanView, SAP, or TIO
• A post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• Membership of a professional body (desirable)

Additionally, a willingness to learn about Te Ao Māori, promote tikanga, and understand the Treaty of Waitangi in the public sector is essential for this role.
