Technical Lead (Manager) - Software Product Full-time Job

Key points:

- Build and scale veterinary software products in a high-growth environment. - Golang & TypeScript backend focus, open to Java and other strong engineering. - Lead an engineering team in a Centre of Excellence based in Auckland. - Global leader in veterinary technology, driving innovation in pet healthcare solutions. - Responsible for designing and building backend services, leading a team of engineers, and ensuring best practices in software product engineering.

Job requirements:

- Expertise in Golang and TypeScript (or Java, with equivalent experience). - Proven experience in architectures at scale. - Strong background in cloud-native engineering and DevOps best practices. - Ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence. - Experience in high-scale software environments. - Strong problem-solving and systems design skills.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Previous experience in a technical leadership or management role. - Familiarity with veterinary technology is a plus.

Skills:

- Proficiency in Golang, TypeScript, and/or Java. - Strong leadership and communication skills. - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Experience with modern tech stacks and cloud-native architectures.
