Travelling Science Presenter/Communicator Full-time Job

Key points:

• Full time, fixed term role from 3 March to 28 November 2025

Job requirements:

• Science graduate or interest in science, teaching, technical/trade, theatre, or tourism
• Class 1 driver’s licence (minimum restricted)
• Good level of fitness

Job responsibilities:

• Exhibition installation and removal
• Preparing shows
• Training student assistants
• Delivering verbal presentations to groups of students
• Administrative tasks
• Exhibit care and maintenance

Qualifications:

• Tertiary science qualification is advantageous
• Experience in teaching, theatre, or trades

Skills:

• Excellent oral presentation and communication skills
• High level of initiative and 'can do' attitude
• Te Reo Māori is a plus
