Responsibilities

As a part of our team at Browning Auto Repairs in Kingsland, Auckland, you will be responsible for conducting thorough Warrant of Fitness (WoF) inspections on vehicles to ensure their compliance with regulations and safety standards. Your duties will include identifying and documenting any defects, performing necessary repairs or adjustments, and keeping accurate records of inspections and repairs.

You will also be involved in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in vehicles, performing routine maintenance tasks, and conducting road tests to evaluate vehicle performance.

Moreover, excellent customer service is paramount in this role. You will communicate inspection results and recommended repairs to customers, provide repair cost estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction by delivering prompt and courteous service.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have a Qualified WoF Inspector certification. Automotive technician certification or relevant trade qualifications are preferred. Previous experience in a similar automotive role is required, along with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. A good knowledge of automotive systems and components is also essential.

You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers.
