About the Company

Our client is the exclusive importer and distributor of HONDA motorcycles, power equipment, and marine products in New Zealand. They are a market-driven organization focused on excellence, with a deep understanding of the industry. As a true market leader, they are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a small team of technicians based in Airport Oaks. The team specializes in working on motorbikes, marine, and power equipment.

Responsibilities of the Workshop Manager

  • Lead a team of technicians in delivering mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair services.
  • Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and manage workload effectively.
  • Plan and prioritize work schedules and manage workshop resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of all relevant information and support technicians.
  • Ensure products meet brand standards and safety requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and inventory control.
  • Manage workshop inventory and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements for the Role

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or Supervisor.
  • Ideally holds an automotive/ motorcycle trade qualification or has hands-on experience in mechanics.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong team management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using workshop management software and tools.
