Job responsibilities

• Engaging with whānau and other people involved in the rangatahi's plan
• Spending time with the rangatahi and relating well to young people
• Attending meetings with the rangatahi and professionals from different agencies
• Supporting rangatahi at Family Group Conferences
• Coordinating appointments for rangatahi
• Helping rangatahi learn independence skills
• Recording and administrative tasks to support the team

Qualifications

• Familiar with Te Reo Māori and Tikanga
• Full and clean driver's licence
• Understanding of Oranga Tamariki as an organisation
• Appreciation of cross-cultural practices, especially knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' culture

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Strong organizational and time management skills
