Empowering Young Adults with Education as an Additional Teacher

Are you passionate about supporting young adults in their educational journey? Join us as an Additional Teacher for a fixed-term position from July to December 2024. This role offers you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our akonga (students) and help them reach their full potential.

Role Overview

As an Additional Teacher, you will work closely with a non-verbal student in a bilingual home setting (English and Tongan) based in Papatoetoe. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support tailored to the individualized learning program of the student. This position is part-time, requiring 5 hours per week during school term time.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have the right to reside or work in New Zealand and hold a current New Zealand Teachers Registration. Being supportive, well-organized, and adaptable are key traits for success in this position. Proficiency in using computers is advantageous.
