Job requirements:

- A Social Work registration and 3 or more years’ experience in a managerial position - An understanding of the causes and dynamics of intimate partner violence with clear gender analysis - A working understanding of statutory requirements of Oranga Tamariki and the New Zealand Police - Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure - Commitment to developing and maintaining networks in the community - Knowledge of legal and social systems and community resources

Job responsibilities:

- Lead advocate practitioners to provide advocacy and support to victims and their whānau - Manage refuge centres - Flexibility required for evening and weekend on call work

Qualifications:

- Social Work registration - Minimum 3 years of managerial experience

Skills:

- Strong time-management skills - Ability to work effectively under pressure - Networking skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel - Willingness to learn and grow in understanding legal and social systems
