Salary range: $60K - $101K per annum
Location: Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch

Job requirements:

Relevant qualification or industry experience in related fields
Ability to search specialist databases and assess complex information
Strong communication and decision-making skills
Desire to learn about intellectual property law

Job responsibilities:

Granting patents and registering designs and trademarks
Examining inventions and assessing patent applications
Providing coaching and mentoring
Ensuring economic potential of intellectual property

Qualifications:

Relevant qualification in engineering, physics, or related field
Experience in patent examination (for Examiner position)

Skills:

Strong analytical and technical expertise
Effective decision-making based on complex information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
