About the Position

Are you a talented chef with a passion for Chinese cuisine? We are looking for an Authentic Chinese Chef to join our team at a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel in Auckland City, New Zealand. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Chinese dishes, managing kitchen sections, ensuring portion control, and leading menu development for the Chinese section.

Responsibilities

As our Authentic Chinese Chef, your key responsibilities will include: - Crafting authentic Chinese dishes that represent the rich flavors and traditions of regional Chinese cuisine - Efficiently running kitchen sections to maintain high standards, even during peak hours - Standardizing dish portions based on weight and cost considerations - Taking charge of the Chinese section of the menu by creating new seasonal dishes and planning weekly specials

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess: - Proficiency in Chinese cooking practices, food safety, and hygiene procedures, including an understanding of HACCP - At least 2 years of culinary experience with a Chinese background, heritage, or knowledge of authentic dishes - A genuine love for Chinese cuisine and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
