Overview:

Are you passionate about aviation security? Here is an opportunity to play a crucial role in keeping the skies of Aotearoa safe by joining Aviation Security Service as an Aviation Security Officer at Christchurch Airport. This permanent part-time position offers a starting base salary of $72,187 per annum (pro rata) and provides a chance to contribute to the growth in travel as New Zealand borders open.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out pre-flight security screening and baggage checks
  • Conduct patrols in assigned areas
  • Ensure compliance with security procedures
  • Prevent breaches of aviation security

Training and Benefits:

Aviation Security Officers undergo a comprehensive six-week training period, earning a NZQA Level 4 qualification. In addition to the base salary, benefits include 20 days of annual leave, 12 days of sick leave, shift workers and AvSec holiday leave, training, free parking, and a full uniform.

Requirements:

  • New Zealand/Australian citizenship or residency
  • Compliance with Health and Safety procedures
  • Medical fitness and willingness to undergo assessments
  • Ability to work a 6/3 shift pattern
  • Full clean New Zealand driver's license
