Job Description
Role Overview
The National Manager Establishments position at New Zealand Food Safety involves leading and managing the Establishments group of veterinary verifiers. This role is responsible for supporting strategy development, resource planning, and financial management within the Verification Services directorate.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the Establishments group to deliver strategy and business plans
- Contributing to the development of Verification Services strategy and business plan
- Ensuring financial control and risk management for the establishment business
Required Experience
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a senior people leader, strong financial capabilities, and operational management experience. Knowledge of the red meat sector in New Zealand is preferred, but not mandatory.
About the Team
Team Structure
The National Manager Establishments will be part of a small team of National Managers within the Establishments group. This group comprises a nationally distributed and highly technical workforce focusing on meat processing and production facilities.
