Job requirements

- Complete the BDO Training Course and meet ongoing testing and training requirements - NZ citizenship or residency and ability to hold and maintain a NZ security clearance - Full, clean, current NZ drivers license - Compliance with Health and Safety procedures - Medical and physical fitness, including a drug and alcohol test

Job responsibilities

- Observe and engage with passengers, airport workers, or the public for enhanced security screening - Attend incidents requiring behavior assessment - Elicit information through targeted conversations - De-escalate situations and manage critical incidents - Gather and report intelligence for Aviation Security and other agencies - Maintain high operational readiness and respond as required

Qualifications

- NZQA recognized qualification

Skills

- High level of interpersonal skills - Ability to build rapport quickly - Eye for detail - Ability to conduct difficult conversations
