About the Role

As a Residential Youth Worker, you will be part of a team that provides a safe, secure, and supportive environment for young people who have offended. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a safe environment, supporting young offenders in their personal growth and rehabilitation, and assisting them in building relationships with their whānau and communities.

Requirements and Responsibilities

• A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of rangatahi
• Ability to build positive relationships and work well in a team
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of Tikanga and Te Reo is an advantage
• Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Good physical fitness to interact with rangatahi safely

Training and Benefits

If selected for the role, you will undergo 6 weeks of paid training. The starting pay is $26.00 per hour plus 8% holiday pay. The next intakes/training course are scheduled for 20th May 2024.
