Job Opportunity: Senior BAS Accountant at Established CA Firm in Central Auckland

Overview:

An established CA firm in Central Auckland is currently in a ramp-up mode and is seeking a Senior BAS Accountant to join their rapidly growing practice. The role will involve working closely with Principals and team members on various clients from different industries, focusing on annual accounts, tax returns, and high-quality business advice. The ideal candidate will have experience in a New Zealand accounting firm at a reviewer/supervisory level, solid knowledge of Xero packages, strong understanding of NZ IRD tax requirements, and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Managing work flow and ensuring jobs are completed within budget
• Acting as the key contact point in managing client relationships
• Reviewing work of junior team members
• Focusing on technical compliance and value-added/advisory work

Ideal Candidate:

• Past experience in a New Zealand accounting firm at a reviewer/supervisory level
• Solid working experience with Xero packages and add-ons
• Strong knowledge of NZ IRD tax requirements
• Experience in engaging with outsourced providers is a plus
